Routine
Today I started my Daily Routine with a Convergence via the Wizard’s Tower. I prefer doing them early in the morning. I always feel the players are slightly more motivated to get things done, even when the odds are not in our favour. We didn’t have that much people fighting Sorrow. During the 3rd phase I thought we were going to fail, but we did manage to pull through. That’s the power of morning coffee for you!
Now that we’ve done the weekly Convergence, let’s log in with Lord Vendaval. He’s my dedicated character for farming the Homestead, transforming 25 Quartz Crystals into a Charged Quartz Crystal and using gobblers to get some handy materials. I also check in with the Gharr Leadclaw, the exchange vendor at the Wizard’s Tower.
Next up with move to the Black Citadel. Here I have Cassius Ripclaw spend 1 Obsidian shard to buy 1 Provisioner Token from the Ash Legion Provisioner. I need 50 Provisioner Tokens to buy 1 Gift of Craftmanship. I need a Gift of Craftmanship for Legendary crafting.
Malakhi The Lost is parked at the end of the Morgan’s Leap jumping puzzle, so he can open the Splendid Chest to grab some gear and stock up on Empyreal Fragments. With all my parked characters, I can use the Thousand Seas Pavillion Pass to instantly teleport to the pavillion. Here I can sell items, store valuables and return to my last location. Right at the chest, so I can open it again the following day.
At the Domain of Kourna the Arkjok Farmlands is a great area to complete multiple Wizard’s Vault objectives. Rufus Aetius is parked at Palawa’s Benevolence to harvest plants, loot enemies, complete a renown heart or view a vista in the Crystal Desert. Don’t forget to grab your 3 Debbie Cakes to earn some extra Karma!
Tactician Zav collects Volatile Magic in Thunderhead Peaks. I’m mainly saving up on Volatile Magic to spend it on buying Trophy Shipments. These shipments are an easy way to get Tier 5 crafting materials, which I currently need a lot of because I’m crafting Legendary gear. I also use Tactician Zav to collect Unbound Magic, Bloodstone Dust, Elder Wood and Mithril from Bloodstone Fen.
Enrik Bitterfrost, Vivienne Vendaval and Kal Vaako are parked at chests in the Echovald Wilds and New Kaining City. I open these chests mainly for the Jade Runestones. They are needed to craft the Legendary Aurene Weapons and still fetch a decent price via the Trading Post, if I’m in need of some extra gold.
In the Crystal Oasis Vol Tekka and Cecil Thespian collect Quartz Crystal from a Rich Quartz Crystal Formation. As mentioned before, I need Quartz Crystal so that Lord Vendaval can transform it into a Charged Quartz Crystal at my Homestead. My other mesmer, Lady Víolànte, collects iron ore from a rich node in the Fields of Ruin.
Back in Queensdale Tybalt Vendaval usually harvests lettuce nearby Beetletun. Unfortunately I ran into the 24 hours gathering limit and wasn’t able to harvest from the gathering nodes. Lettuce currently has a good price at the Trading Post, so I was hoping I could harvest some. Queensdale is also a great map to kill some easy veterans, if it’s an objective in the Wizard’s Vault.
As we’re close to wrapping up all the daily objectives from the Wizard’s Vault, we return to the Wizard’s Tower. Ilu Caduceus is my main guardian and I usually take him out to Caledon Forest to do the daily Blood in the Water achievement and earn an Ornate Rusted Key. These keys can be used to open up sunken treasure and farm swim-speed infusions.
With all the daily objectives done, there’s only one more vendor to talk to: Taro Everclaw in Arborstone. Solus Darkleaf is my dedicated fisher and he carries a whole stash of fish which he can exchange for a Chunk of Ancient Ambergris. These fetch a great price at the Trading Post and can be used for Legendary crafting.
